As a JCCC student, you are surrounded by a wide network of support designed to help you thrive—both in and out of the classroom. This section will introduce you to a few key student resources.

Parking
Parking is FREE! NO permit, pass, tag, or sticker needed!
Free parking is available all around the campus. However, you might not always find a spot next to the building where your classroom is located. Try to arrive about 30 minutes before your class begins to give yourself time to park or walk from your drop-off location.
Get Your Student ID Card
After enrolling and paying for your classes, visit the Student Engagement Desk on the 1st Floor of the Student Center to get your student ID card. Your student ID card gives you access to fun activities and free resources on and off campus.

Academic Resource Center
Located on the first floor of Billington Library, the Academic Resource Center (ARC) is your one-stop shop for free tutoring and study help.
The ARC includes four tutoring centers:
Access Services
Access Services partners with students with disabilities to ensure equitable access to all JCCC programs, resources, and campus experiences, working to create a barrier‑free and inclusive environment for every learner. The team collaborates with students to develop individualized accommodation plans—such as assistive technology, alternative formats, interpreting, notetaking support, and testing accommodations—based on each student’s needs. By connecting with Access Services early, students can receive the guidance and support that help them navigate their academic journey with confidence.
Billington Library
JCCC’s Billington Library offers extensive print and digital collections, giving students access to millions of articles, e‑books, streaming videos, and books both on campus and online. Students can get research help through the Research Desk, chat, email, or appointments, and make use of a variety of study spaces equipped with computers, laptops, and group‑work technology. Whether you're studying quietly, collaborating with classmates, or needing guidance with research, the library is a supportive hub designed to strengthen your learning experience.
Honors Program
The JCCC Honors Program offers academically motivated students an inclusive, supportive environment where they can challenge themselves, follow their curiosity, and engage in deeper, seminar‑style learning experiences. Students receive personalized support through honors advising, faculty mentorship, and co‑curricular opportunities that expand their perspectives and strengthen leadership and problem‑solving skills. With small classes, community‑building activities, and enrichment experiences that prepare students for transfer and future goals, the Honors Program helps students make the most of their time at JCCC.
International and Immigrant Student Services (IISS)
JCCC’s International & Immigrant Student Services office supports more than 1,000 international and immigrant students each semester, enriching the campus community with global perspectives and cultural diversity. The IISS team assists students with admissions, immigration guidance, visa and documentation requirements, and cultural adjustment, helping them navigate both academic and regulatory pathways successfully. Through personalized advising and ongoing support, the office ensures students have the resources they need to thrive at JCCC and feel at home in their new community.
Student Basic Needs Center
The Student Basic Needs Center helps students overcome challenges like food or housing insecurity, transportation needs, and other hardships that can impact academic success. Located in a safe, supportive environment, the center provides resources such as the Cav Cupboard food pantry, the Cavalier MealSHARE program, housing and transportation assistance, emergency funding, and equipment loans to ensure students can stay focused, healthy, and on track. Whether you need immediate support or guidance navigating available services, the center’s friendly staff is ready to help you meet your basic needs and thrive at JCCC.
Veteran and Military Student Resource Center
The Veteran & Military Student Resource Center supports veterans, active‑duty service members, and military‑connected students as they transition into college life and pursue their educational and career goals. The center provides assistance with VA education benefits, pre‑enrollment support, military training credit evaluations, and resources to help make college more accessible and affordable. Students can also connect with peer networks and organizations like JC Student Veterans of America and the PAVE program, building community and finding support from others who share similar experiences.
